Nowadays a lot of diet fads and weight loss methods shop up on occassion. Most of them will work better than others of course, and some just wont work at all and some just work better for some people than others.
One of the best things you can do before you spend your hard earned money on any type of weightloss new method or old, is to try to guarantee, as much as possible, that it will work for you. Everyone is different and everyone has different needs.
It is important to realize that your best bet is to first talk to your doctor to make sure you don’t do anything that could harm you. This is really true if you are really overweight or just have some medical issues. On the surface, it sounds like a good idea to lose weight and get in shape… and it is.
But, yep you knew there had to be a “but”, if you go about it in the wrong way you could do more harm then good in the short term. Not what you want to do. So, talk to your doctor first. Another advantage is that your doctor can help you devise a healthy, effective and safe workout and diet to follow.
Or, if he can’t, he should at least be able to refer you to someone who can and make a detailed list of any restrictions you may have that that other person can go off of.
OK, now that that is out of the way, your next step is to evaluate what other methods you can use. Please remember that these “other’ methods are in addition to a smart workout plan, not in place of.
There are many advertisers who get paid big bucks to entice people to spent their hard earned money. Those people aren’t afraid to “skate” the ethical line and grossly exaggerate the results you can expect. You need to be careful what your expectations are when you go in.
Most anything you can get whether it is some type of supplement or some type of procedure will only do so much and usually it will only do that in conjunction with losing weight the old fashioned way; diet and exercise.
I don’t care how cleverly the ads make it look or disguise the fact that you will need to be willing to make some changes in order to see some changes. So, you basically have the choice of getting a product that can help you lose weight or you have a procedure that can help you sculpt your body and refine your results after you have already lose your excess body fat. It’s up to you to choose.
Truthfully, there is no reason you can’t use both: use the supplement to help you speed up the results you see with diet and exercise and then when you’ve lost all the weight you can but still have one or two trouble spots you can use a procedure like liposuction or Cool Sculpt to finish up the overall look you want to get.
Regardless of which weightloss method you choose to follow, always remember to talk to your doctor first to give you a realistic expectation of possible outcomes.
